CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or no-show leaves a gap in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patron. As such, we require a 48 hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.

Patrons who provide less than 48 hours notice, or miss their appointments without cancellation, will be charged in full for the therapist’s time. This cannot be billed to your health insurance provider.

The effects of massage therapy may provide physiological and psychological changes in nature.

Physiologically, when performed on a healthy person, massage therapy may increase flexibility, relaxation, and decrease stress levels. Psychologically, massage therapy may increase ones sense of well-being through therapeutic touch. Positive changes may also occur through areas of the body that have experienced trauma where swelling, restriction and pain may be present.

Massage therapy is generally recognized as an effective way of reducing or managing pain from a variety of conditions such as trauma, post-surgery, headaches, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and terminal illness.

🌈 Hello and welcome to my practice ✨

How may I support you through your health and wellness journey?

My name is Maggie, and I’m a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who’s certified and in good standing with Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC).

I began my journey as an RMT in 2010 in order to create a positive change for myself and those who enter into my practice. Since completing my 2200 hour curriculum, my focus has been based around a clinical approach while trusting the intuition of myself and those who share my space.

On a clinical level, I aim to provide each person I meet with an individualized whole body approach to support their efforts towards an improved sense of well-being, while also offering viable options for other treatment(s) if a subject matter is outside my scope of practice.

On a deeper level, I aim to assist folks with becoming more in-tune to the connections of their mental/emotional/physical state(s) of well-being, if they are ready to take that journey.

From the initial 2200 hours and onward I’ve aimed to learn from other therapists as well as participate in 2 to 4 applicable courses/upgrades per year pertaining to required learning’s and subject matters that peak my interest.

This may include (but not limited to):

  • Basic and Advanced Massage Therapy
  • Basic and Advanced Stone Therapy
  • Ethics Related Modules (every 2 years)
  • First Aid and CPR (every 2 years)
  • Musculoskeletal Cadaver Anatomy Review (my favorite subject, studied twice)
  • Basic and Advanced Assessment and Treatments
  • Myofascial Cupping
  • Self Care with Critical Alignment
  • Infant Massage Therapy Teacher Training
  • Joint Play and Mobilization
  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (another favorite subject, studied 3 times)
  • Therapeutic Breast Massage
  • Kinesiology Taping
  • Meditation Teacher Training
  • Evidence Informed Clinical Cupping for Self Care
  • Basic and Advanced Evidence Informed Clinical Cupping
  • Holistic Nutrition for Digestion
  • Active Assisted Stretching: Upper Body
  • Introduction to Biodynamic Fascial Integration: The Cervical-Cranial and TMJ Region
  • Movement Therapy and Yoga Anatomy

As of 2020, I decided to evolve my practice into something more and have since begun building the yellow brick road towards my new goal… Awakening Balance, Therapy for the Mind, Body and Soul.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly. I look forward to meeting you and having you be a part of my continued journey.

Thank you for your time and interest in my therapeutic services.

Maggie Ho, RMT
